HEALTHSPACE COMMUNICATOR

Stanmore Medical Centre are taking part in piloting a scheme called  HealthSpace Communicator.  This is currently only being tested in a few Clinical settings.  Stanmore Medical Centre are selecting a small number of patients to become involved, and are inviting you to take part.

What is Communicator?

HealthSpace Communicator is being introduced as a new and secure way to contact your local healthcare staff about your health. HealthSpace Communicator is a secure messaging service which allows you to send and receive messages plus attachments between you and your GP.

How do I register for HealthSpace Communicator?

HealthSpace Communicator is an invite-only service. Once you have read this and decided if you want to take part, you will need to register for a Basic and Advanced HealthSpace Account by visiting the HealthSpace website at: www.healthspace.nhs.uk

HealthSpace uses internationally recognised security measures to keep patients' information confidential. To register, you will need to take your printed and signed Advanced Account application form to Stanmore Medical Centre where we will sign a form to vouch for your identity and your Advanced Account will then be processed by the National HealthSpace Registration Centre.  Please contact Vikki Young, IT Manager at Stanmore Medical Centre on 0208 416 1019 if you have any queries.  Alternatively you can leave your form at either surgery for Vikki's attention.  Healthspace will write to you to confirm your registration and advise you on activating your Advances Account.  When you have done this you will be sent an email (to the email address you have registered with HealthSpace) to inform you that you can now access HealthSpace Communicator and have been accepted onto the mailing list of a healthcare professional (you cannot make specific requests for a GP/Nurse at this time).
