Appointments

All consultations are by appointment only. Appointments can be made by using our automated telephone system (also available outside of surgery hours), online or by speaking to a receptionist during surgery during opening hours. 

They can also be booked via the emis system (click here to go to the emis login page), you will need to obtain logon details from Reception. They will advise you how to register and log in.

Online and telephone automated appointments release at the following times:

NEXT DAY - Opens Mondays - Thursdays at 6.45pm

SAME DAY  - Opens Mondays - Fridays at 8.00am

We will always endeavour to offer you a convenient appointment with the doctor or nurse of your choice but, if unable to do so, will suggest an alternative time or another doctor at either of our surgeries.
Although you are registered with a specific doctor, you are free to consult with any doctor or nurse of your choice.

When booking your appointment online, via the automated telephone system or at the Surgery, in order that your visit is dealt with as effectively as possible we ask that you take care in who you book your appointment with (i.e. medication reviews are carried out by the Nurse and NOT the GP). Please refer to section 'Who to See' for full information. If you are unsure, please ask a receptionist who will gladly help and advise you

Same Day / Urgent Appointments

If you need to be seen urgently and are unable to make an appointment via any of the methods as stated above, please call the surgery before 10.30am. The receptionist will take details of your call and advise you of when to come to the surgery. Alternatively you may be offered telephone advice, in which case your contact details will be taken, and the Duty Doctor will call you. If they are unable to deal with your problem on the telephone, they will advise you of when to come to the surgery.

Appointments with the Doctors

We understand that some patients like to routinely see a particular doctor. We always do our very best, however, this may not always be possible and you may be offered an appointment with an alternative doctor. Please be reassured that all our Doctors are committed to providing the highest possible care and service to you at all times.

Checking In For Your Appointment

We have an electronic booking-in system in the waiting room at both surgeries. This allows you to book yourself in for your appointment without having to wait at the desk to see the receptionists. Once you have booked yourself in, you may take a seat in the waiting room and wait to be called.

Please Ensure You Are At The Correct Surgery!

Instructions for use:
• Touch the screen to activate
• Touch the screen to select male / female
• Select your MONTH of birth
• Select your DATE of birth
• Select 'YES' to confirm the information is correct

You will now be notified that you are booked in and advised to take a seat.

NOTE: You will not be booked in if you are more than 10 minutes late, or more than 20 minutes early - you will be advised to see a receptionist.

Routine Telephone Queries

Please advise the receptionist of your query. She will contact the relevant GP and you will either be advised to call back at a certain time, or you will be contacted by the GP (usually within five working days). Unless your query is urgent (see above), please telephone between 12 noon - 1.00pm, or after 2.00pm.
